Dr. Bonn is my favorite doctor ever, and that's a big statement because I generally don't like doctors. Dr. Bonn is smart, kind, sensitive and listens to you. I never feel rushed out of his office or dismissed for silly concerns. And, he looks at my health holistically by asking me about my overall health and well being, not just focusing on whatever problem I need to treat.

In 2012, Dr. Bonn found several benign tumors in my uterus and recommended a hysterectomy through Da Vinci surgery. It went flawlessly and I was back at the gym in ten days. I had very little pain and have only tiny scars. Most importantly, I have never felt better. I have recommended Dr. Bonn to several female friends and I would highly recommend him to you.

I had my hysterectomy on January 10, 2012. I had a very large fibroid in my uterus and it was my first surgery in my life. I was naturally nervous before the procedure, but I stopped being nervous as soon as I talked to my doctor, Dr. Bruce Bonn, before the surgery and my overall experience went far beyond my expectations and was very positive. To any woman with the same diagnosis that I had (fibroids), I'll definitely recommend hysterectomy and Dr. Bonn to perform it.

I was released from the hospital the same day the surgery was performed. My pain was in control all the time, and I was back to most of my normal activities two weeks after the surgery. A month after the surgery I went on an overseas international trip for my business and, while being engaged in my business activities, I completely forgot that I had had a surgery a few weeks ago because I did not feel any discomfort at all. Actually I felt better than ever because I was more than two pounds lighter (the weight of my fibroid was about two pounds). Now that I am over two months after my surgery I feel so good that sometimes it takes me a few seconds to figure out what four tiny marks on the front of my belly mean when I take off my clothes before I go to bed.

I highly recommend Dr. Bonn if you consider a hysterectomy. He is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He encourages you before and after the procedure and he is behind you 100% all the way through. He talks to you about the procedure as many times as you want and he insists on you inviting your loved ones to participate in this discussion in his office and ask him questions. He explains all details and takes time to answer any questions you or your loved ones might have regarding the procedure. Beyond that, he even takes a picture of your fibroids and uterus when they are removed for you to keep (probably not something you'll post on Facebook

I recently had a hysterectomy and my doctor (Bruce Bonn, MD) used the daVinci procedure. At first I was a little apprehensive of this procedure as I was aware of the old procedure where the surgeon did an abdominal cut. To my surprise the daVinci surgery was much better. There was no overnight stay in the hospital - it was in/out surgery. I couldn't believe the recovery time. I experienced minimal pain which only lasted for a couple of days. My recovery period was no more than two weeks, which made it possible for me to return to work within a short period of time. Dr. Bonn addressed all my questions before and after surgery. He called me to see how I was recuperating after surgery, which most doctors don't do. I also want to thank Dr. Alan Birnkrant who recommended Dr. Bonn, I had confidence in his recommendation. Both doctors did everything to put me at ease about this surgery and I must say it worked. If any female is considering having a hysterectomy and if they are a candidate for this type of surgery, I urge them to consider it. If the patient needs a second opinion, I recommend visiting Dr. Bruce Bonn. As always, the patient should discuss all concerns with her doctor and make sure that she fully understand the pros and cons of any surgery.
