Dr Thomas Reid is excellent! Highly recommend! He is expertly skilled and experienced while also very humble, compassionate and caring. He really takes his time with his patients and listens and explains fully to ease concerns and inspire confidence and hope for a positive outcome.

3 1/2 years ago at the age of 19 I was diagnosed with stage 3-c ovarian cancer. Its an extremely scary situation, especially when you find out at 19 that you have something that will prevent you from ever having children and could possibly kill you...But with Dr. Reid and all his staff around me I was able to fully understand my surgery, my chemotherapy treatments, every blood count or cell count that they watch. I felt extremely prepared and informed of everything I went through and every step I have taken on this journey has been easier because of Dr. Reid and all my nurses. Dr. Reid is an extremely talented surgeon and the top of his field in medicine. We are amazingly blessed to have him living and practicing right here in the Dayton area. Your Doctor and nurses become like family when you see them as often as I did and I am eternally grateful to them for treating me like I was a part of their family. I pray for God to bless them all each night because God blessed me by sending me those angels :)

I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I did not even know what an oncologist was! Dr. Reid walked into the exam room and must have seen the look on my face...complete panic. He explained my situation, including sketches of the organs which may be involved, the exact procedure, where he would cut "cheating it down" to accomodate my tan line. He made me relax, but still made sure I understood the urgency and severity of a radical versus normal hysterectomy.

Because of his diligence, and his staff, I had surgery so soon after diagnosis that they got all the cancer without further treatment. The surgery went perfectly, and he even spent extra time on my ab muscles as I work out a lot and he wanted them to be tight again without my working too hard.

Dr. Reid was in my hospital room the night after surgery with the news that my lymph node was clean, and made sure I knew the cancer was completely removed before I even left the hospital. I could not have asked for a better outcome. It is six weeks later now and I am feeling great! Dr. Reid is absolutely an angel :-)

Dr. Reid treated me when my regular OB/GYN was concerned that I had ovarian cancer. I had a complete hysterectomy. Dr. Reid's bedside manner is excellent and he is very accessible. He is thorough in his explanation of treatment. I knew I was in good hands even before my surgery. I found his staff to be compassionate and professional. If a patient were to find herself in the position of needed a gynecological oncologist, I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas Reid.
