Dr. Widstrom delivered two of my children both were c-sections... You could say I was his "problem child" had severe pre-eclampsia with my 1st... 2nd was a repeat section (which I busted the incision and was bleeding internally because I got sick after I was back in my room). Not only does he know his field... but he is a wonderful, caring doctor who seems to truely care about his patients.

He made an impression with me right off the bat when he was killing time chatting with my husband in the hospital (afterall doctors just don't typically do that). I didn't meet him until I was in labor with my 1st child... but I had such a great experience with him that I wanted no one but him to deliver my 2nd. I saw him through out my 2nd pregnancy (and very often since I was high risk)... never once did I worry that I wasn't getting the best of care. I wish everyone would be so lucky to have such a wonderful doctor.

I recently had another child and I would have loved to have had Dr. Widstrom again but we no longer live in the same area. I had a hard time with my new doctors though because I compared my care to what Dr. Widstrom would be doing and how he had kept such a good eye on my blood pressure etc because of my history. It is definately hard to go to a Dr. who doesn't seem to care about their patients as much once you have had one who does care. I tend to compare all of my doctors to Dr. Widstrom... he set the bar high!

Dr. Widstom is an excellent doctor. He is very caring to his patients needs and is willing to do anything he can to make you feel comfortable and at ease when you are going through something like this.

Dr. Widstrom is like no other doctor. He takes the time to listen to what the "problem" is and gives you options. Even when you have exausted all the possible options, that surgical hysterectomy may be needed he is willing to talk about options. Dr. Widstrom is truely one of those doctors who shows compassion and isn't afraid to show that he cares about his patients. If you want a doctor who cares, he is your guy. Definately worth the wait to get into see him.
