Dr. Kotheimer was recommended to me by my family physician, Dr. Sames. Dr. Kotheimer had performed surgery on Dr. Sames' wife to remove fibroids while the doctor's wife was four months pregnant! Their daughter is now 13 years old. :-) I was apprehensive to say the least. To say the most, I was terrified! Dr. Kotheimer's friendly cheerful manner put me at ease. She has over 30 years' experience. After my surgery, one of her assisting doctors told me of her skill. She called Dr. Kotheimer "a cowboy in the operating room". Her associate said had she done the operation, she would have made a very large vertical incision to remove my uterus which was riddled with fibroids, the largest of which was 11 centimeters. Yet Dr. Kotheimer made a very small, bikini-line horizontal incision to remove it. She said it was the size of a (large) box of baby wipes. (It's normally the size of the back of one's hand.) Oh, and she checked and removed my appendix ~ no extra charge. LOL!
