Dr. Crotzer did my DaVinci assisted staging surgery for endometrial cancer, then he set me up for chemo and radiation in my home town so that I wouldn't have to travel so far. The surgery went well and my recovery was relatively easy. After treatment, I continue to see him for follow ups.
He's extremely smart and knows his stuff but he's not intimidating. He explains things well and takes time to answer questions. When he referred me to the chemo and rad doctors, he not only gave them my medical history but also filled them in on my fragile emotional state. That helped me a lot. His office staff is fantastic - one of the nurses gave me a thorough explanation of what chemo would be like and suggestions on how to cope. I've called several times with questions or problems and they listened and gave me the info I needed. Dr. Crotzer took my calls himself sometimes.
Dealing with cancer is hard enough - it helps to have a doctor and staff that are as supportive as they are.
