Dr. Barr was probably the 15th doctor (3rd or 4th OB/GYN) in my quest to find help for my PMDD over the last 2 decades (only the last few years did I know it was PMDD). She, unlike all the others, did not hesitate to help me and she did not dismiss me like a hypochondriac or suggest birth control pills or antidepressants (I had already exhausted all those treatment options). She understood how severe PMDD can be and during our very first appointment said she would do an LAVH/BSO. I cried tears of relief because I was honestly prepared to argue my side of it and why I needed to have this surgery, but I didn't have to!
The surgery went so incredibly smooth and the staff at the hospital were beyond excellent. She even sent me flowers before the surgery!
I would recommend this delightful doctor to everyone. She is outstanding!
