Suggestions & Reviews for Andrew COOK MD

I am privileged to be a patient of Dr. Cook. His manner, and way of talking with his patients is the kindest, and gentlest I have ever encountered. He has never rushed me, but has listened to me, and most of all he has shown he cared about me, and my well-being. All the staff at his office (Vital Health Institute) are all very supportive, patient, and kind. The nurse practitioner, Linda, is also one of the kindest, most comforting ladies I have ever met.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2013 after years of horrendous periods, with pain and cramps that nothing would take away. I first went to Dr. Cook in 2015, after finding, and reading his book. titled "Stop Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain" I highly recommend this book to anyone that has endometriosis, or has a friend, or family member with the disease. It explained so many things to me.

Dr. Cook is among the most highly skilled laparoscopic surgeons. He is able to safely operate on very delicate organs such as the bowels, bladder, urethra, etc... All with laparoscopic surgery. I had endometriosis all over in my lower abdomen, not just ovaries and uterus...but on my bowels, vagina, rectum, both sidewalls, etc...plus adhesion's holding various organs together. He successfully removed it all, in it's entirety, with laparoscopic surgery. I have no damage to those delicate organs.

Dr. Cook is recognized as one of the best Endometriosis Excision surgeons in the world. Along with that, he is set apart even more, because of his multi-disciplinary approach to treating his patients. I had multiple other causes of pelvic pain that seem to go hand in hand with endometriosis. Not only was he able to look for, and diagnose these other causes, but he provided effective treatment. I will be forever grateful to him for his experience, and skill, and most of all his dedication to improving women's quality of life.

If you have pelvic pain there is no other doctor that will treat you better than Dr Cook.

I suffered from endo, adhesions, and uncaring medical professionals for 20 years. I found out about Dr C after a failed surgery that my doctor blamed on me and had a phone consult with Dr Cook and knew he was the answer but I couldn't afford it. I waited for 9 years for the right situation. In February of 2011 it was finally the right time. Besides just physically healing up I have been pain free since surgery.

I mean I had killer cramps. The wake you up in the middle of the night so you can lie on the bathroom floor being sick cramps. Now I don't have cramps at all. I had a bad go at the hospital after surgery and Dr Cook and the whole staff of Vital Health were there for me the whole time, including an after hours phone call before traveling home on the week end.

If you are tired of being in pain and want a doctor that will REALLY listen to you - give the office a call, he does a free phone consult so there really is no risk to check it out. He will earn your trust.

After suffering from chronic pelvic pain for years and being fed up with seeing doctors who didn't believe me or didn't care about me I searched online and found Dr. Cook.
I have never in my life been treated by a Doctor as well as I was treated by Dr. Cook. In fact, it brings me to tears just thinking about what a wonderful, amazing experience it was to be treated by Dr. Cook and his staff.
I live in a small town in northern Nevada and made the 10 or so hour trip to Los Gatos and it was worth every dollar and every minute that it took to get there.
I would highly recommend Dr. Cook to any woman diagnosed with endometriosis or to any woman experiencing pelvic pain.
Don't waste your time with Doctors who don't care or who make you upset because it isn't worth it. Go straight to Dr. Cook where you'll be treated like every woman should be treated.

I am a patient of Dr. Cook and am so glad I have added him to my medical team! He is both knowledgeable and caring. I choose Dr. Cook after a couple years of research and I believe I made the right decision!

I still came to him after years of pelvic pain related to endometriosis and adhesions. He was the first doctor to even consider that something along side the endo and adehsions was causing pain -- IC. He was able to surgically "clean up" my insides and offered me the pain relief I was seeking, even for the IC!

I would highly recommend Dr. Cook to any woman with pelvic pain, especially any woman diagnosed with endometriosis. He and his staff will treat you compassionately and intelligently! I am constantly amazed at the tidbits of information Dr. Cook drops in our phone conversations because he uses a multi-disciplinary approach! Everyone at his office (Vital Health Institute) has always been helpful, answered my questions, listened, and made me and my husband feel very comfortable and comforted!

I can't thank Dr. Cook and his staff enough for the care and treatment I have received!

After having surgery for pelvic pain with another physician, I was feeling worse then ever. She told me that she didn't expect that I would feel worse after surgery and there was nothing else that could be done. She was totally out of suggestions after the hormomne treatments had failed.

I found Dr. Cook through an internet search and flew to see him. I was given exceptional care the entire length of my treatmnet. I went into surgery very skeptical that anything would be improved. I was told that my condition was quite severe. It is now alomost three months after surgery and I am a 2 on the pain scale. I was a constant 10 prior to surgery with him. I had 0 quality of life before I saw him, and I now feel better than I have in years! He will answer all of your questions and explain all procedues in a respectful and noncondescending manner. His staff is more than thourough and I've never felt like a number. It was well worth the travel expense to get from Seattle to Los Gatos. If you are in pain, and have been told that your only options are hormomes or other less than comfortable medications and treatments, please see Dr. Cook. He is extremely well educated with up to date informantion on pelvic pain and I believe that he could help anyone.

I currently am a patient with Dr. Cook, having been treated for endometriosis, I now struggle with auto immune illnesses and side effects. Dr. Cook has always been there for me when I needed him, and has told me a few times that he is not giving up anytime soon.
After seven surgeries and years of swimming through cold, uncaring usually MALE Ob Gyns, it has been a true blessing to work with Dr. Cook and his talented staff. They truly do care and are working with me to get to an end of feeling bad. I know they are concerned for my well being when I go in to see them.
I consider Dr Cook to be a friend as well as a physician. He is a brilliant combination of extreme knowledge, expertise, compassion, patience and calm. He has a wonderful sense of humor, and is cute to boot..what more could a patient ask for?
Seriously, Dr Cook is a true gift, and I feel like I finally got a break in finding him. It may take time for me to get away from my physical woes, but I am confident that I am in the best hands possible. I wish that all women suffering with endo could find a Dr. Cook. I recommend him to everyone I know suffering with this insidious disease.

I can't thank Dr. Andrew Cook enough for giving me back my life. I'm an Endometrioisis Survivior and have been endo pain free since my surgery with him in Feb 1999. He literally gave me back my life. He's the most compassionate and skilled surgeon I have ever had and after more than a dozen surgeries I ought to know. He is extremely well educated on the diseases that concern females with Endometriosis and Endometriosis related problems. He is a highly skilled surgeon and a very nice and caring person to boot. My story on my life with Endometriosis and my surgery with Dr. Cook is on my private webpage http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/8509/ if anyone would like to read more about it. I can't speak highly enough about this man and he truly cares about his patients and continues in search of the elusive cure for Endometriosis as well. Please visit my site for more details of my story.

I had surgery with Dr. Andrew Cook in late 2004. I came to him with multiple medical complaints and chronic pelvic pain that many other doctors could not diagnose or cared to investigate. Dr. Cook is the finest surgeon I have ever had (I've had surgery enough to know). He is everything you wish a doctor would be and his staff is equally as skilled. THEY BELIEVE YOU. I never once had to justify my pain. I was never told it was in my head. I was always treated with respect and care. Dr. Cook is actually interested in the complexity of your problem and wants to get to the bottom of it. I was finally correctly diagnosed. You won't get a doctor like this in managed-care. However, if you have wasted your life trying to get answers and relief from the managed-care system, I highly recommend you consider Dr. Cook. I am so much better than I ever thought was possible. I owe so much of it to Dr. Cook and his team.

After years of suffering with endometriosis and crippling pelvic pain I found Dr. Andrew Cook in 1999 through an acquaintance I met online.

My husband and I traveled across country for my extensive surgery for severe endometriosis and adenomyosis.

Dr. Cook is a compassionate, knowledgeable and caring physician who truly listens to his patients. He treats them with the utmost respect and dignity, considering himself a member of his patient's health care team. His sense of humor is a blessing during stressful times. He manages to make me feel optimistic and encouraged when I've been down and discouraged. I know that no matter what, he'll be there for me to help me figure out what's going on.

My life is greatly improved due to the skill and expertise of Dr. Cook. My husband and I will forever be greatful to him for what he did for us and continues to do for all women suffering with endo and pelvic pain.

Our greatest desire is that all women with endometriosis and pelvic pain could find a Dr. Cook in their hometown. Whether that ever comes true remains to be seen but, until then, I'd travel across country again and again to see Dr. Cook if it ever became necessary.

I recommend Dr. Cook with confidence.

Dr Andrew Cook and his team are dedicated to treating patients with endometriosis. I suffered for several years with this difficult condition, until I finally found Dr Cook. He has a special interest in treating pelvic pain, and he really knows how to listen to his patients. He helped me to work out a treatment plan that was right for me, then his team helped to coordinate travel to Los Gatos for assessment and surgery with Dr Cook. He used laparoscopy with advanced lasers to remove the endometriosis. He was very determined to alleviate as much of the pain as possible, and he has been very successful. He kept a close eye on my progress for 3 years after the procedure, and has always been very responsive when I have had a question. I recommend Dr Cook and his whole team at VitalCare Institute without reservation. If you go to him, you will receive world-class medical care from a real expert.
