I'm a 35 year old mother of 3. Dr. Schiebout has been my ob/gyn for over 15 years! She is exactly what every doctor should be! She knows her limitations (referring me to a firtility clinic). She is as caring as a sister (during my miscarriage). And as protective as my mother (during my pregnancies). She helped me carry twins full term! And was firm with me when I needed it (hearing news that I did not want to hear, this is best for you & your baby...) and truly seemed to share in the joy of my childrens birth. She is comforting to my husband, in addition to my self. I have reccommended several family & friends for yearly exams, pregnancies, and medical conditions. Everyone loves her! I think Dr. Schiebout is by far the most professional, knowledgiable, and expierienced doctor in South Eastern Michigan!!

Denise Schiebout, OBGYN, is one of the most compassionate, understanding, and knowledgeable Doctors I have come across in a very long time. She keeps up with current procedures for womens care, easy to talk to about anything (sex, alternative approaches, concerns, fears) and is an outstanding listener. Her Bed side manner is exceptional. She makes sure that her diagnosis is authentic, and rules out all other possible medical conditions. If you want to try alternative methods to remedy female problems, she is willing to work with you in your efforts, and will support you 100%. She never pressures you to make a hasty decision (of course unless you have a life threatening condition), then I'm sure she would urge you to do the right thing. Your well being, is her main concern! She is always pleasant, comforting, very trustworthy and friendly. I cannot write enough to tell you what a Wonderful Doctor she is and how experienced she is with womens health care. The past few years I have had excessive menstrual bleeding, and very painful (almost unbearable) periods. Dr. Shiebout did everything she could to relieve my symptoms, (D&C, Hysterscopy, Laperoscopy, Biopsies, etc.). She did everything she could, because she knew I didn't want a hysterectomy. Unfortunately, nothing worked, and she recommended hysterectomy. But I still wanted to try alternative methods, such as changing my diet, vitamin supplements, etc., She supported my decision and was patient as I ventured on my own to try to remedy the problem myself. I wasn't successful and went back to her a year later, in worse condition than before. I was ready for the hysterectomy. I explained to her that I wanted to keep my ovaries and cervix, if they didn't have to be removed, and she was very understanding to my request. I recently had the surgery, and must say, I am very happy that she only had to remove my uterus, and her post-op care of me has been outstanding. I am a very Happy with the outcome, and the care I received throughout. I highly recommend anyone within the Michigan commuting area to visit Dr. Schiebout for all your female care, she is one of the BEST!
