Dr Kurian was recommended by a friend who had also had to have a hysterectomy. I am always nervous with Drs anway, but she had me completely at ease. Her personality is outgoing. She listened to my concerns and explained things in a manner easy for me to understand without making me feel stupid. She even called me the night before my surgery to answer any last minute concerns.
Even at my first post op, she showed her concern for my healing process...knowing I had a very stressful situation at home.

Her nurse is just as wonderful. Very friendly.

Dr. Kurian was suggested to me by a friend when I was seeking a specialist to help determine several health issues that had begun to limit my lifestyle.

I made an appointment to see Dr. Kurian at her practice, Women's Health Alliance, located in Mesquite and Dallas, TX. I was very thorough with my primary care doctor given the symptoms I had been experiencing. My PCP made sure I had all my labs, scans, images, and reports with me before visiting Dr. Kurian.

On my visit with Dr. Kurian she was very positive and supportive. She listened to me before making any suggestions as to what options I had. She was very supportive of my decision to have a total laprascopic hysterectomy with robotic assistance (De Vinci Method). She assured me that my choice to have the TLH was a good one given my history and recent findings. She also said that it would help to regain a normal pain free life once again.

She took her time with me, and asked how I was doing mentally. She was very concerned about my recent bout of depression, and offered mental support, suggestions, and referrals if I needed them. She wanted to ensure that I knew she cared, and she did just that.

The night before my surgery she called me to see how I was doing, and if I had any last minute questions or concerns. The morning of my surgery she came to my bedside in pre-op/admittance and again went through how I was feeling and reassured me everything would be fine. In the operating room before being sedated she held my hand and again reassured me that I would be ok and she'd make sure my husband was kept in the loop (I had a four hour surgery).

My husband was called several times, as promised, with updates, and was called again when they moved me to my room. She provided me an amazing support system during a very scary time for me and my family.

I highly recommend Dr. Kurian because in all the years I've had doctors care for me, I've never had such a pro-active and caring physician so involved and reassuring. In the past I felt like a piece of meat, and she never made me feel that way. It has been a journey to this point, and having Dr. Kurian on my side has been a blessing.

Dr. Kurian is kind, compassionate, trustworthy, experienced, reassuring, and comforting. I am blessed to have found her.

Dr. Kurian is one of the best physicians who has treated me. She is very professional and easy to talk to on a personal level. She delivered my youngest child. Even though I was happy to not be pregnant anymore I really missed seeing her during my prenatal visits. I have no reservations about recommending her to family and friends.

Dr. Kurian has an excellent bedside manor and is very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kurian since she moved to the area. I could not have been luckier to have such a wonderful person as my doctor. She is so amazing and careing and takes the time to listen to you. She takes the time to get to know you as a person not just a patient. She makes you feel comfortable and relaxed and makes the hardships of pregnancy easier to deal with. No problem was too great for her to deal with. She was with me every step of the way during both my pregnancies, one vaginal and one cesarean. She made going to the office actually something to look forward to. I have recommended her to many of friends and family, many have since switch to her, and I will continue to recommend her. She is the best doctor I have ever come across and a true blessing. A great personality and a wonderful person.

I can very happily say that I have been a patient of Dr. Rachel Kurian since she moved to the DFW area. She delivered my second daughter 7 weeks ago via scheduled c-section. This pregnancy was high risk due to hypertension, previoius weight loss surgery, Epilepsy, depression and chronic back and hip pain. Dr. Kurian was very professional and through. She made sure that I was given the information needed to make an informed decision while not making me feel like she was "talking down to me" like many physicians have a habit of doing to patients. Dr. Kurian always took the time to listen and answer my questions and concerns. Having as many conditions as I do outside of her speciality, she did a lot of research and coordination of care in order to manage all aspects of my high risk pregnancy and delivery. She takes a personal interest to her patient's physical and emotional health, which is very rare to find these days. The field of OB/GYN is both extremely personal and many times emotional. Dr. Kurian recently became a mother for the first time herself and has become an even better physician. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Kurian to anyone seeking a personable, caring, through and knowledgeable OB/GYN. She is by far my favorite doctor. Dr. Kurian has a beautiful personality and a sweet spirit about her that I am going to miss now that I'm not pregnant. I will actually look forward to my yearly gyno appts as much as one can. :)

AMAZING DOCTOR!!! Dr. Kurian is my OB/GYN and delivered my baby almost 7 months ago via C-Section. She is calm and confident and can handle tough situations. She is a wonderful doctor, very good with patients, very smart, and easy to talk to. She is also the nicest person you will ever meet. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!!

I went to Dr Kurian by chance- and it was the best thing I could have done. Not only are the other two comments correct, but she caught a disease that I didnt even know I had. She is very intelligent and capable. My checkup was smooth and quick and my sick-visit actually resulted in an accurate diagnosis... what higher compliment could a doc receive?

She is very thorough and gentle. She is very laid back and easy to talk to. I highly recommend her to anyone.
