Suggestions & Reviews for Anthony Adolfo LUCIANO MD
Brenda S. (Patient) 07-19-2011
It was 4 years ago this month that I had a hysterectomy with ovaries taken out by Dr. Anthony Luciano. I had horrible pelvic pain, with widespread and diffuse endometriosis, prior to the surgery... and 4 wonderful years free from endo pain since the surgery! And I've been on an estrogen patch, too, and just had my first bone scan and it's normal... no osteoporosis! I am so thankful!

Dr. Anthony Luciano specializes in using the laprascopic method whenever possible (which I was able to have), so my recovery went very smoothly and quickly. And he also specializes in treating endometriosis, adhesions, and in helping women to regulate their hormones after surgery and when going through menopause. He helped me in all these ways when I had had 2 other surgeries prior to meeting him that did not go nearly so well!!! Plus a top-of-the-line bedside manner! Wow!!! What a blessing he has been to so many people (including myself)!!!!

Also of note is that he wouldn't have taken my ovaries out unless they really needed to be out, which was the case in my particular situation, but may or may not be in yours. I give Dr. Anthony Luciano the highest possible rating I can possibly give any doctor!

Mom of 3 boys (Patient) 06-07-2011
I was referred to Dr. Luciano in the fall of 2005 for unexplained infertility, I was at first treated by his daughter Danielle and she discovered that I had endometriosis. I was scheduled for surgery in early 2006 and found out to have Stage 4 endometriosis but they were able to remove it all and said there should be no reason why I could not get pregnant. Within 6 months I was pregnant with my first son, and 11 months after he was born I was pregnant with twin boys! I will forever be indebted to Dr Luciano and Dr Danielle Luciano for making motherhood a possibility for me. Plus to this day the endometriosis has not returned. They are two of the nicest, most caring doctors I have ever been treated by and I would highly recommend them to anyone suffering from this disease or for any other infertility issues. They are the best! A++

Dr Luciano is a wonderful doctor. He's an endearing man who is sympathetic to suffering women. He (and his daughter Dr. Daniel Luciano) treated me for endometriosis. He was always professional, patient and polite and managed to make me smile, even through tears and extraordinary pain. He and his staff were wonderful.

I have had endometriosis for 12 years and have been to over 10 gynecologists to help with my pain, which no-one could help. I did allot of research for a specialist and kept coming back to Dr. Luciano. Dr Luciano is located in the hospital and has alot of the newer technology. He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and as a bonus KIND!! Imagine going to a Dr. that is the best and has a great bedside manner, I'm telling you he is a great, rare find. I have been going there for 3 years and I couldn't be happier. We have been going about everything slower, trying to delay surgery for as long as possible, but I now have to have surgery next month. I know that I am in great hands and have all trust in him.

Dr. Luciano and Dr. Lamonica, both are amazing physicians. I recently had surgery to remove several large fibroids, the outcome was achieved and they were all removed successfully. I would recommend this practice to all women out there. Thank you for all your help, support and encouragement. I hope you all have a wonderful xmas and new year.

"A 5 Star Doctor Who Provides 5 Star Treatment!"

I highly recommend Dr. Anthony Luciano for any woman experiencing endometriosis. He is the best! Before I give you my story, I give Dr. Anthony Luciano an A++++ for Excellence in his field and truly one of a kind[extremelyexperienced/scholarly/sweet/comforting and kind].

My story: I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 19 years old and had laser treatment in 1987. It was never told that it was anything to worry about in the future or that it can be harmful. I am currently 41 years old now and a mom, wife, daughter and career woman at Yale (Associate Professor & Researcher) who works to provide for my family and support a staff of 20 clinicians/staff to provide treatment to 1000 patients/year. So why is this important (?) because within this past year (2008), I was suffering with extreme pain and it was interferring with all aspects of my life. I almost could NOT function. My OBYN from the Yale area suspected I had onset of endometriosis again and said it was likely to be minimal because the ultrasound she ordered only showed what looked like two small cysts and on physical exam, "could not feel any swelling etc" and suggested alternative such as medication, IUD, hormonal tx, etc etc...and re: the ultrasound result, "we'll keep an eye on it." Although I highly like and respect her as a general OBGYN, the pain was increasing...My general internist ordered follow up tests showing fluid around my ovaries, more growths w/in just a few weeks of my previous ultrasound suggesting endometriomas on one of my ovaries.Through my research on the computer and recommendations from my colleagues at Yale, UCONN and my other Doctors and friends, Dr. Anthony Luciano's name was always mentioned.

In September 2008, I contacted his office, I was scheduled immediately. I had an appointment with him w/in the week. He was very professional, extremely thorough with his examination (history taking, physical, and specialized ultrasound) and an impressive bonus, he was very empathic, kind, caring and communicative with myself and my husband. I observed him interacting with other patients as well, and he was consistently this way . He diagnosed me with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis in the initial examination and suggested laporoscopy and hysteroscopy. I was a little nervous about going under, that is, under w/anesthesia.

I had no doubt at all and could tell by his expertise this was a "go for me." In the end, I came out of the surgery and he was right there by my side and explaining everything. I had Stage IV endometriosis, adhesions, cysts, endometriomas. The growths were on my ovaries, bladder, rectum and in my vagina. My left ovary was a "mess." He removed it all and my ovaries were retained/intact and healthy again.

Upon my 2 week postopt appointment ( a few days ago) he showed my husband and I the photos of the aboveaforementioned "mess." It was astonishing to me how invasive this disord... [more..]

I found this marvellous doctor because my first OBGYN had told me that I had Stage l Endometriosis that was very minimal and that there was nothing he could do for me. I did lots of research and found Dr Luciano because other women with Endometriosis had recommended him and claimed that he was a pelvic laprasopic specialist.

I had surgery with him two weeks ago and he discovered that I actually had Stage lV Endo and Adenomyosis, an Endometrioma and adhesions. He is very kind and reassuring and explained all the various treatments. He has such a long and prestigious list of experience, research and teaching that I felt completely comfortable in his hands. He is extremely knowledgeable and I needed someone who was able to do specialized and difficult pelvic laprascopic surgery. I cannot underestimate how grateful I am that I did my research and homework and found Dr Luciano. My warning to other women is not to let a regular OBGYN operate on your Endometriosis....seek a specialist and if you can, choose Dr Luciano.
