Dr. Wujek (aka Dr. Wonderful, at least in my house) has been a true treasure. When I became his patient during my first pregnancy at 21, I had no idea the pitfalls that were waiting for me. I had 3 terrible pregnancies, the first marked by terrible nausea/vomiting, dehydration, pre-term contractions and a postpartum pulmonary embolism. The 2nd pregnancy ended with a spontaneous miscarriage, which devastated my husband and I. My third was worst yet. Uncontrollable nausea/vomiting (I lost 20 lbs) and then my water broke @ 26 weeks. Through all of this, Dr Wujek was so kind and caring and went out of his way to make sure I was getting the best care possible. He called all the time, just to check in. He had us come to the office at "non-appointment" times to talk and check my weight, and early in my 3rd pregnancy had us come in on a Saturday morning for an ultrasound to put my fears to rest about another miscarriage When I was hospitalized, he saw me a couple of times a day, and when I had to be under someones else care during my embolism and before my preemie was born, he still called and checked on me and my son.
Most recently I have been seeing him for endometriosis. He has been so understanding as we go thru the treatments and steps toward a most likely inevitable hysterectomy. I am very fortunate to have had his care and influence in my life. I will be grateful to him for the rest of my life.
