i was referred to Dr. Oakley for endometrial cancer.
i met him today along with his resident, they both were amazing and answered questions and explained more. and understood my wishes of attempting to at save fertility. Dr. Oakley and Dr. Richie are great if you are in this situation. You can feel comfortable with both and not the feeling of your another patient and rushed...:)

I was referred to Dr. Oakley for a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy. He saw me less than a week after the referral was made and I had the surgery less than a week after that. He did a wonderful job with the surgery (I'm healing very fast) and provided excellent pain control. He communicated wonderfully well with my friend who accompanied me. He did a great job all around.

I became Dr. Oakley's patient 5 years ago, when I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. He was very kind and caring, explaining the few options I had in detail to both myself and my fiance', so I could make a very difficult decision. He also told me that if I were his wife or daughter, he would advise the hysterectomy, because the other choices did not typically offer good outcomes. He knew that I wanted to try to have kids, and researched everything he could find about alternative treatments before my appointment. Dr. Oakley has remained my physician over the years because he listens to his patients, takes their wishes into consideration, and tries to find a solution that will meet both the needs and wishes of his patients.
