I am 42, and saw a gynecologist for the first time this year. I don't have children, and it had always seemed good enough to see my family doctor for my annual exams. Last year, my family doctor said I had fibroids.
This year, I decided to go ahead an make my appointment for a pelvic exam with a gynecologist. A co-worker suggested Dr. Reidy.
I was impressed before my first appointment with the office staff. I received paperwork in the mail in plenty of time to complete it before my first visit. I also got the forms I needed to request that relevant medical records get transferred to her office.
I can't say enough good things about the office staff. They have been kind, thoughtful and efficient for every appointment and every phone call. They have gone out of their way to provide test results in a timely manner. Phone calls are always returned promptly.
Dr. Reidy has been knowledgeble and helpful and always willing to answer questions in a professional way. She even once returned my phone call herself to answer questions. I don't believe I ever had a physician return a phone call before. She has efficiently treated my anemia and helped me make the decision to have a hysterectomy. I don't feel she pressured me, and she was willing to discuss alternatives. My procedure went well. Dr. Reidy did the hysterectomy through an abdominal incision. The abdominal incisoin was needed because of the size of the fibroid. She gave me the choice and I chose to keep my cervix.
Dr. Reidy is a young and intelligent physician. I have had a good experience with her as my doctor.
