I am in an area of Ohio that many doctors and hospitals aren't trusted. Yet, I chose Dr. Villareal to do surgery rather than returning to a specialist in the city. He is highly recommended by other patients for both reproductive issues and surgery. He is the doctor who first diagnosed my fibroids though I had seen several doctors for ten years about menstrual problems and infertility.
Even when running a very busy schedule, he takes the time to answer all questions. I have seen him during infertility workups, pregnancy, regular check ups, and for my hysterectomy. He seems to always be busy, but not too busy to be nice or answer questions. He has always been upfront, honest, and knowledgeable. He is also willing to treat with HRT, bioidenticals, or wait while the body adjusts. He never forces his opinion, but lets his patients know what he thinks would be the best route and gives them medical perspectives on all their inquiries.
The only negative that I have noticed is that when he only sees a patient once a year, he has a hard time keeping the history straight. As I see it, this is normal. He has hundreds of patients. For example, he speeded my labor before remembering that I was to be a C-section. These things could happen to any busy doctor. It is our job as a patient to do our research and keep the doctor abreast of our needs as a patient. He is a doctor willing to listen to his patients wishes.
