Dr. Fassler is awesome! I had uterine fibroids, and was told by another Seattle gynecologist that I would need an abdominal hysterectomy with a six inch vertical incision. After doing some research online, I found recommendations for Dr. Fassler at a uterine fibroid support group. Dr. Fassler spent four hours removing my uterus laparascopically. It would have been much easier for him to convert to open surgery and most surgeons probably would have. I highly recommend this surgeon because he puts the welfare of his patients first.

When I first saw him, Dr. Fassler told me his role is to educate me on all my options, not to tell me what to do, and he gave me information without looking at his watch once. I almost cried! He understands. He is kind. And he is very, very good at surgery. He's gentle but not afraid to do what needs to be done and I have since found out he is widely respected by his peers. Dr Fassler is up to the minute on the most current surgical alternatives and techniques but old enough to be experienced. He is all all around OB/GYN but has a special interest in uterine fibroids. Before I even saw him he phoned me at 9pm and spent 30 minutes on the phone helping me with extreme anemia. I drive two hours each direction to see him (more in traffic!) and it is well worth it. If you're looking for a doctor in the greater Seattle area there is none better than Dr. Eric Fassler.
