Dr. Clifford, as he has his patients call him (he has other siblings in the area who are practicing physicians as well), is very calm, very patient, and very reasonable. He listens to your concerns and quickly puts you at ease. He delivered my second child after the doc who delivered my first retired, and several years later he performed my hysterectomy.
After my hysterectomy, he personally called to check on my recovery, and after I was re-hospitalized with a complication, he continued to call me in the hospital and at home to see how I was doing and to offer to help.
Dr. Clifford has a wonderful reputation in the Baton Rouge area, and you may find it's difficult to get an appointment with him. If you are an existing patient, you should know to ask to leave a message for his nurse if you're having a problem, and she can try to fit you in earlier.
I can't say enough good things about this doctor. If you are looking for an OB/GYN in the Baton Rouge area, I highly recommend Dr. Clifford Schwartzenburg.
