Dr Runowicz performed my surgery for ovarian cancer in July of 2007, wrote the protocol for my chemotherapy and held my hand every step of the way. Not only was she always available to me while at the John Dempsey Hospital and the Neag Cancer Center, but when I was hospitalized with emergent complications at my local hospital in NY, she called me on a Sunday evening to hear first hand what was going on with my care. I travel over 100 miles each way from NY for every treatment, surgery and follow up. I recommend her with every beat of my heart.

She has published over a hundred works on various OB/GYN cancers, was the president of the American Cancer Society and is the chair of the National Cancer Advisory Board. She is very thorough in her analysis of the test results and treats you as a unique individual not as a "cookie cutter" case. She has a great "bedside manner", makes you feel very at ease.
