I have been a patient of Dr. Childs for about 9 years. He delivered all four of my children & has been by my side through the worst & best of times. Immediately after the birth of my fourth, my body went into shock & I was rushed back into the operating room for a 2 hour surgery. I almost died from an Amniotic Fluid Embolism. The majority of women die from this condition. I was given 19 blood transfusions & spent 2 weeks in the hospital - a week of it was in ICU. When I woke up from this horrible ordeal, Dr. Childs stood by my bed, held my hand & fed me water off a sponge for nearly 2 hours. He also spent 2 nights with me at the hospital in case something else happened. He was, without a doubt, my guardian angel. If it hadn't been for him, I know that I wouldn't have survived. I'm so very thankful for the knowledge, experience, compassion & kindness that he shows his patients every day. You won't find a better doctor anywhere. He is simply the best!

I have had endometriosis for most of my life. I have been a patient of Dr. Childs since 2001. When I was looking for a new Doctor, I asked all the women that came into my shop who their GYN was and why. I also asked who they didn't like and why. Dr. Childs was the only Doctor that I didn't hear a single bad remark on. In the time that I have been his patient, he has always answered my questions and took care of me in a professional and kind manner. He is cheerful, comforting, friendly, caring and his sense of humor always comes in at just the right time. I have asked him some very personal questions. I know that I can ask him anything and that I'll never feel embarrased. He has always given me my treatment options and allowed me to help chose the coarse of action to take. I have never felt the need for a second opinion while being in his care. He is very capable and up-to-date in his field. I know that he will take care of me. I have over the years referred several of my clients to Dr. Childs. I have heard many, many comments on how well he cares for them and how much he is loved and appreciated. They, like me, have no complaints. There just isn't enough good words to express the way I feel about Dr. Childs. I love and appreciate him and his staff!!!

Dr Childs has been my GYN for years before my husband and I decided to start a family. When I got pregnant with my first baby Dr Childs didn't know that I had complications with pregancy until it was too late. My son was born at 23 weeks. Not knowing if my son would make it I asked Dr Childs if I should have another baby someday and he assured me that it would be a lot of work on both our parts but he would take care of me. During my pregnancy he never "threw" me off to one of his partners. He was always there for me and had a calming answer to all me fearful questions! I have recommended him to many of my friends and they love him just as much as we do!!!

Dr. Childs is the best OB/GYN that you can find in the Chattanooga, Tn and surrounding areas. He is up to date in his medical field. He never forgets that you are human and that you have feelings. He crys with you and always makes you laugh. He is an all around great person. He will listen to you know matter what kind of problem that you are having.
I really love and appreciate Dr. Kent Childs. He is awesome to me and my family. Dr Childs is all of these and more, cheerful, comforting, friendly, trustworthy, experienced, diligent. When you go into his office he is your bestfriend and you can tell him anything. I think GOd for him
