I fractured my fibula and tore the deltoid ligament 3 years ago on Acadia Mountain. Dr. Denoncourt did surgery on my ankle that Sunday evening, about 7 PM. He and his staff were amazing! One of the staff took my 9 year old daughter home for a sleepover and to camp the next day since we were from out of state and "stuck". The vice president of the hospital arranged a horseback riding lesson for my daughter! Dr. Denoncourt gave her a refrigerator magnet with a moose. All of the staff from his office and Maine Coast Memorial Hospital took very good care of us. They recognized I was a widow and alone there with my 9 year old. When I got back to Pennsylvania, the follow-up orthopedist said the fracture was perfectly aligned. He is, frankly, the best and kindest physician I have ever had. I had such a great experience with everyone that we moved to Maine!
