Dr. Penman performed my mastectomy back in 1995. She was wonderful! She is one of the most caring and patient doctors I have met. Every time I have an exam by a new doctor (moved to Virginia in 1997), they all say what wonderful results I have from the surgery. Thank you, Dr. Penman!

I have recently moved from Northern NJ and was in need of a breast surgeon. Dr. Penman came highly recommended. When I met with her I found out my course of treatment would be a simple mastectomy. This was a shock to me. Dr. Penman was very comforting, was very direct as to what was needed, and helped me make my decision. She advised me of every option that was open to me. Every time I called her with a "forgotton" question, my call was returned by her in a short period of time, and she took time to explain to me everything that I was questioning. Before the operation she was very up, cheerful and friendly. I felt that I was getting the best care from the best Dr. Thank you Dr. Penman.

Dr. Penman is a "general" surgeon but has a passion for breast surgery. She did my lumpectomy and sentinal node biopsy in 2000 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. She also removed a mole from my back in 2003; and a needle biopsy on my breast in 2005. My original lumpectomy removed a 2cm mass from my smaller than average right breast and now, 6 years later, there is barely a scar!! Beautiful job! The mole removed from my back has NO scar whatsoever; the needle biopsy on my left breast also has an almost unnoticeable tiny scar. Not only is she wonderful in surgery, she is compassionate, caring, and spends time explaining everything. It is without hesitation that I would recommend this wonderful surgeon!!
