This is a very kind and caring doctor who will go the extra mile, the only downfall is his staff. They never smile,act friendly, or show that they care. They seem so busy and on to the next person. After we found out our daughter had died and had come back 3 weeks later the first thing we were given was a bill and asked if we were going to take care of it. Not exactly appropriate timing if you ask me. I hadn't even received the EOB from the insurance company yet and yes I will pay them when I have a second to sort everything out. His staff makes me want to leave.

I had a complete Hyterectomy (LESS ) on March 12, 2012. I had been suffering with constant lower back pain, post menopausal bleeding. Dr LaGrand suggested that my back pain could be from my uterus, which was enlarged and prolasped. I knew that the surgery would take care of the bleeding issue...but I have not had ANY back pain since my surgery!!! I feel like a new person! Before my surgery, all I could do was lay around on a heating pad in pain. He is an awesome doctor, and very friendly and so easy to talk to. He makes you feel very comfortable and takes time with you. The whole staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend him and his office! I'm going to miss him..now that my surgery is over, but I am so greatful to be feeling good again and Pain free Thank you Dr. LaGrand.!

I cannot begin to tell you how much Dr John LaGrand has helped me. Him and his wonderful wife run the friendliest OB office. I am soo uncomfortable going to the OB but I am instantly at ease when they enter the room. (strange I know, but they are just that outgoing and it makes it soo much easier to talk to them) John delieverd my second daughter by c-section, "installed" my Mirena, surgically removed my Mirena (dont get one, they are terrible) and gave me a complete hysterectomy. I was only 31 at the time and so scared to do the surgery and John was patient with me while I tried to make my decision. My troubles were I had really long and heavy, painful periods and terrible PMS since getting my tubes tied when he removed the mirena. The PMS was so bad that 7/10 days I had to be on medication just to function and not be soo irritable and I hate medicine. Dr John gave me a shot that temporarily shut down my ovaries putting me into surgical menapause to see how my body would react to surgery. Within 10 days of the shot, I felt like a different person. No medication, and that was such a relieft since I was taking up to 5 clonazepams a day and I was only supposed to take 2 and no more bleeding. The shot lasted 3 months so I had that long to decide. I was sooooo scared about PERMANATLEY removing my ovaries at 31 but he was so patient and let it be my decision and just gave me the facts...I scheduled the surgery and I was his first patient to have it 100% through the belly button. Yes, I was his guinea pig. but I didnt know until after the surgery. :) I went home 2 hours after getting my ovaries, uterus and tubes removed. I felt good. 2 weeks later, I really didnt feel like I even had anything done other than my emotions were finally in check! Yes, I take hormone pills everyday but I dont deal with any of the menapause stuff. I havent had any hot flashes since taking medicine and I havent gained any weight, in fact, I lost 10 pounds, and I sleep fine. I tell you all this cause I searched the internet countless hours looking for a story like mine to see how someone else dealt...I found nothing. I am so thankful to John for giving me my life back and my personality, plus NO MORE PERIODS, YEAH! I would of never, ever thought to go so extreme at 31,but Im glad I did. Im so thankful to him. He is wonderful! I guarantee you will love him within the first 5 minutes. Hes the best!

I recommend Dr. Lagrand for many reasons. I came into his office over 9 years ago with early trimester complications with my first child. I was impressed with his caring and concern for me and my unborn child. He was pleasant and really made us feel at ease and did every test for assurance that every thing was ok. He was not the doctor that we originlly was to go to from that office but had him switched as my primary because he was such a kind doctor. I have had 2 births which he also saw me through. Great Doctor and would highly recommend.

I came to Dr. Lagrand during my second pregnancy. As a nurse, you hear good and bad things about physicians and Dr. Lagrand came highly recommended by staff and peers alike. I was looking for a compassionate physician that was willing to take the time to make me feel as if my baby and I were most important. This is exactly what I found in Dr. Lagrand. What a wonderful, smart and compassionate man. He answered all my questions and always made sure my growing child and I were healthy and happy! If you have the chance to become a patient for whatever reason, he is worth the wait for a new patient consultation! You will not be disappointed!

Dr. Lagrand is GREAT! His bedside manner is by far superior to other doctors I've encountered! (And I'm a nurse!) I came into my third pregnancy extremely nervous due to two previous difficult pregnancies! Dr. Lagrand was incredibly encouraging and concerned while at the same time being very professional and down to earth. We switched insurance during my pregnancy and I actually paid for COBRA coverage to keep him as my doctor! Very worth it! He even told me in spite of insurance issues, he wanted to make sure I had peace of mind and gave me his pager numbers. He lives near the hospital and was at my delivery at 4am within 5 minutes of being called! High marks in my book! Don't even question having him be your doctor!

Dr. LaGrand is the best! He performed a laporoscopic supracervical hysterectomy on me in August 2006. Then, a tracheolectomy (cervix removal) in November 2006. He ended up doing an emergency surgery for me after the Nov. 06 surgery and literally saved my life!!! He did it with such grace, comfort and compassion. I truly love him! He made me feel safe and was so confident and competent. He is the best! If you need a dr. that you can trust, who knows what they are doing, and genuinely cares- he is the one!!! I actually cried when I was released from his services because I was completely healed! I was ecstatic to be well physically, but so sad that I wouldn't need to see him again! He is that good!!!
