I saw Dr. Samman 3 years ago and also had worked with him briefly at UC Davis when I was a student. By the time I saw him (for migraines, fatigue and subtle neuro symptoms), I had been undiagnosed for quite some time and was feeling quite hopeless about getting diagnosed. I had been dismissed by many doctors and some even referred me to psychotherapy. Dr. Samman did not do that to me. He took my case and my symptoms seriously and did a thorough investigation, including a complete spine MRI. He referred me to a movement disorder specialist who ultimately diagnosed my Hashimoto's Encephalopathy, a very very rare condition (I did not even know I had a thyroiditis as my TSH was checked 6 times and was always normal). It's treated with steroids and I feel a lot better now. I wish that there were more Dr. Sammans in the world. He is understanding, kind, caring, and friendly. He really cares about his patients and wants them to get diagnosed. Excellent doctor! I would not have gotten diagnosed without him!!!!!!!
