My dad had developed a very nasty eye infection. Dr. M. Johnson saw him that day even though it meant seeing him well after normal office hours. He continued to fit dad into his daily work schedule in order to completely clear the infection. We are so grateful for this doctor's expertise and commitment to his patients.

Dr. Johnson is a retina specialist in Bangor, ME. I had several tears to the retina in one eye over a period a several days a few years ago, which is a frightening experience, and can lead to retina detachment if not treated right away. While going through this tramatic experience, Dr. Johnson treated me at all hours of the day and night and on weekends, because he is an extremely caring and thorough doctor. He put off a seminar to Boston for a day to be sure I was stable and then gave me his cell phone number in case I had a problem! I call this going above and beyond and I am so thankful he was the one that treated me. Even now that his practice has grown, when I go for checkups, I never feel like he's rushing me through to see the next patient, like my other doctors. He's always friendly, and although he's probably one of the most overworked doctors in the area, I believe he loves what he does and it certainly shows in his treatment of his patients.
