After having my first bad pap smear my primary wanted me to see a specialist. I did not have a separate Gyn, and anyone who would see me had waiting list of months for new patients. PCP gave me Dr. Abbas' number and they fit me in immediately. He was very kind and included my husband in our treatment discussion. He made sure we both understood what was said. Almost 9 years later I still refer him.

I recently had a da Vinci robotic full hysterectomy at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Abbas was amazing. My incisions were very small and I felt wonderful after only three weeks of recovery. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Abbas was kind, thoughtful, and extremely professional and reassuring. He even wrote me a personal note after my initial appointment.

On the day of my surgery, he greeted me at the hospital when I first arrived, and at all times helped me feel safe and secure, and in good hands.

I highly recommend Dr. Abbas whose specialty is gynecological oncology. His assistants and nursing staff were equally helpful and caring.

I was referred to Dr. Abbas after my regular GYN told me that the biopsy results showed I had endometeral cancer. I was a nervous going into the appointment, but he put me right at ease. Dr. Abbas has a good bed side mannor, caring and never makes you feel rushed. I had a total hysterectomy done by Him in July, He is a excellent surgon.

I was having problems with pap tests performed by my pcp. I tried calling several gyn offices and explained what was going on and that my pcp wanted me seen sooner rather than later. The wait was at least 3 months since I was a new patient, no exceptions. I was recommended to Dr. Abbas even though he was a gyn oncologist. His office said he would be happy to see me and get to the bottom of things, and they offered me an appointment the next week! When I met him he made me feel very comfortable and calm about the situation. He even wrote me a thank you note for coming to see him! I understand why he has patients coming from all over to see him. I have had one surgery and he made sure to check on me that morning to make sure I was okay. I am having another surgery next month by him, and I feel very confident.

I had suffered a long time with pain during my cycle and as time went on the pain was worse and I started having strange symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and overall sick to my stomach. I had gone to one doctor after another who treated me like I was crazy and that I just could not be having the problems I was having. I finally was refered to Dr Abbas and found out after some test that I had a large mass on my overy. I ended up having to have a complete Hysterectomy which was performed by Dr Abbas. He was great as well has his staff. I was treat with respect and concern. I was scared to death but Dr Abbas helped to comfort me. He talked to me and even joked around and helped me to relax. I will never forget the way I was treated and the way he cared. He is the best doctor I have ever had.

I was scared out of my ming. My regular GYN called on a Sunday afternoon right before Christmas to tell me that I had cancer on the wall of my vagina (I had a complete hysterectomy). He said that it was rare but referred me to Dr. Abbas. The earliest appointment that I could get was going to be mid January. Dr.s wonderful nurse, Kay, said "You know, he wouldn't want you to wait that long...can you come in tomorrow evening at 6:30? We'll be out of the office for the day but he'll come in to see you". I almost fainted...No Dr. does that anymore.
My husband and I went to see him and we were both terrified. Kay held my hand through the whole examination and Dr. Abbas talked to me about nonsense stuff to keep my mind off of what he was doing...smart man. I have "abnormal cells" but not cancer and will continue to see me until he's sure there's no reason to.
I love him and I love Kay...I just really wish he was a regular GYN!

I was diagnosed in June of 1999 (three months after having a negative PAP from a primary care phys) with advanced cervical cancer. I was in very bad shape when I started. Dr.Abbas was positive throughout and kept me going. After my initial visit, I saw him in a remote location, and was forever impressed with the organization and efficiency of the entire staff!!! It is hard to imagine that a local doc cannot even remember your name-let alone what is wrong, but Dr A. and his staff are on top of it all. Dr. A saw me throught the cancer tx, all chemo and radiation, but then the problems really began. Due to radiation damage I had lots of tangential problems. Dr A did a number of major surgeries and his attitude was always positive - "well if that does not fix it, we'll just build you a new one". At one point I had to be hospitalized due to sudden blood loss. I was terrified of treatment in the local hospital, so Dr A got me transferred to Saini, Dr A was just about to leave on a cruise with his family, but he made sure I knew the person in charge. Then he called me from his cruise ship to be sure I was ok. That made a lasting impression! It is now 2010 and I am still here. I still have problems - some just related to age, but I continue to see Dr. A, every 6 months, and he continues to help me address some of my nagging concerns. I tried "graduating" from his services to a local doctor, but the care was very poor, with the medical center transferring the doctors around all the time and shifting patients so that no one ever go to know the doc or the doc, the patient. I have recommended Dr. Abbas to countless individuals seeking treatment. He is a wonderful person and doctor. He cares about his patients, way beyond the norm. I hope some of his students learn what it really takes to be a great Doc.

Dr. Abbas is a wonderful personable, " State- of-the Art" Dr!! He really listens to his patients and never once treated me like my wants didn't matter! He talked to me about my options and what I wanted! He has a wonderful bedside manner. Took real good care of me and kept my family well informed on my wellfare after surgeries. My last surgery, I had the " da Vinci hysterectomy". I am so happy to have a person like him on my side! He is AWSOME!!!

Dr. Abbas is a very capable and knowledgeable gyn oncologist. He instantly made me feel comfortable and explained everything to me. He is the only doctor I ever had that sent ME a thank you note for coming to see him. The personal touch just really made me feel at ease and showed how much he cares about his patients.

His staff is wonderful and caring as well. I am so thankful that my regular OB/GYN recommended Dr. Abbas when I was having abnormal paps.

Dr. Abbas is a skilled, kind and approachable gynecological oncologist. He is friendly; current in the latest medical findings and willing to listin. At a time when things were really difficult and I had to make some really tough decisions for treatment of my endometrial cancer, Dr. Abbas and his staff were the perfect fit.

He always has time for me and his staff is unbelievably kind and professional.

I have seen many doctors through my life, especially this ordeal and I highly recommend Dr. Abbas for gynecological care.

Thank God for Dr. Abbas. Wonderful doctor, caring, understanding, great personality and very knowledgeable. After an abnormal colpo, my doctor referred me to him right away. I was very scared and went in for a consultation. but after examining my case, he put me at ease and I had the procedure done right away. Now I feel much better, knowing that I am in very capable hands. I highly recommend this doctor.

He basically saved my life. His persistence with finding my diagnosis of cervical cancer (with normal PAP smears) paid off. That was 17 years ago.

Dr. Fouad Abbas had done my follow-up care for the past 8 years. When I was 16 I had a 10 pound ovarian tumor removed and while he did not (unfortunately) perform the surgery, he has done all of my treatment since then. His bedside manner, patience, professionalism, and availability are second to none. I wish there were more doctors like him.
