I came to Dr. David for a second opinion after a previous physician not only mixed up my records but seemed to downplay the severity of my test results. After two colposcopys and a conization, I forwarded my test results to Dr. David (in the realm of full disclosure I must admit my mother used to work for Dr. David, so I know she is a highly skilled diagnostician). She told me, in no uncertain terms that she would not hestitate to recommend a vaginal hysterectomy for me as soon as possible, as a results of my lastest test results. I showed up in her office, scared and confused and she explained EVERYTHING in full detail, pros and cons and also treated me like an actual person with intelligence and trepidation.
Today, 2/22/11, I celebrated my 5th year surgery date of a TVH (Total Vaginal Hysterectomy) in which I was able to keep my ovaries, quite a blessing for a 38 year old.
Dr. David handled my follow-up questions with patience and kindness and I truly feel she is a not only a brilliant surgeon but a gifted "in-office" practice doctor as well.
She has a no-nonsense manner about her, until you get to know her as the patient's health is her number one concern, so please do not be put off is she may seem a little distant or "cold" during an initial consultation. She is simply thinking and I believe this is her brain already running 10 steps ahead to find you an answer.
