I saw Dr T. for the first time in Feb 2011 when I found I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I chose him bc he had a small practice, and since I had chose to place my son in an open adoption with his paents whom reside across the US I needed a Dr who knew my situation during every check up and who would take my past deleveries as well as my current feelings and situation into consideration. And to say Dr T did this is an understatement, he really cared about me, my physical and mental health and my family and unborn son. He was interested in my situation, and commended me on placeing my son. He went above and beyond to make accomidations for me and my sons a.parents so they could be there for his delivery. And when the hospital staff didn't wanna help me with the pain after my c-section he didn't make me feel crazy like they were trying to suggest instead he made sure I was comfortable and stayed that way as well as repremanding the nurses and on-call Dr for not calling him earlier as I had asked when the pain never subsided. Of all the things I found amazing is he came every day for a wk to check on me but the 3rd day I was there he came in and sat down with my sons father and I and chatted with us for an hour or me, telling me of some differ cases of open adoption he had encountered in life. As well as told me he had been checking on my son (in a separate rm with his a.parents)and made sure that we knew how much he liked both their personalities and that he thought I had chosen an amazing couple to be his parents....his words : "they definitely will be great parents, 2nd best to you guys of course, Lindsay. Weather u parent or they do your sons lucky bc 4 amazing ppl love him. 2 moms and 2 dads." I doubt he realized how much those words helped my acheing heart. So glad I found him, wont be having more kids but looking fwd to seeing him for my tubal ligation always look fwd to my yearly appt. He's the best! Oh and funniest thing happened, my 8yr old son lost his tooth while in his office so the funny Dr T gave him a bucket with a lid, instructed him not to open til we left. My son had no idea what was inside but was so excited and grateful, especially after he did open it....to find it full of candy!!! My son was tickled pink and I think Dr t was happy he was able to do so bc afterall he's not a dentist! All I could do was laugh and smile as my son and I called to thank him :)
