Do not see anybody else for a shoulder issue! Dr. Burns is the best.....done my rotator cuff twice.....both times I was playing tennis at 10 weeks.....of course he probably didn't know that. Seriously he is a former pitcher, and has had shoulder injuries himself and understands how important it is to get back in the swing of things. If you get other opinions, be sure to ask how long you will be in a cast or swing. Some doc's want you in a sling for 8 weeks and don't start PT until afterwards, which results in major atrophy. With Burns, started PT in 3-5 days, sling gone after a week.

Dr. Burns is a wonderful orthopedic doctor. He has performed orthoscopic surgery on my knee for a cartilage tear and he has done surgery to repair torn ACL on both of my husband's knees. He has extensive training and has been the doctor for the US Ski team. He is very friendly and down to earth. He explains all treatments in easy to understand terms and takes time to answer all questions. He does x-rays in his office which is a wonderful time saver. I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas Burns to anyone in the Central Texas area.
