Dr. Christopherson is great! Actually, every doctor in his practice – Woman’s Health Oncology - Mercy was great! Dr. Christopherson was kind and caring. He really does listen to your concerns and answers any questions that you have about your surgery. He does not rush you and allows you all the time that you need to feel comfortable. He is so down-to-earth that you feel like you are talking to a family member or close friend. He really cares about you! One thing that I really liked about this doctor is that he is very funny and keeps you laughing. In my situation...I gladly welcomed the humor to help me get through the tough time. When you meet this doctor... his smile, assuring nod and black cowboy boots will let you know that you are in good hands. He is very good at what he does and I am thankful that he saved my life! I trust him so much that I would send my own daughter, mother, or sister to him.

After being through horrible experiances with other ob/gyns I was sure that I would continue to suffer , with no answers or help. Untill tests performed by my other doctors showed some things that were very wrong and dangerous , so after three horrible ob/gyns I was finally sent to Dr.Christopherson , I was only a teenager really and as scared as possible , he was amazing , he is a little rough around the edges but that makes him even more of a great doctor , he tells you the facts and your options with out sugar coating anything or giving you treatment plans that would just lead to more treatment and pain.Even though I was scared he made me laugh and feel at ease . I ended up n eeding surgery and we found all the causes if pain and how bad my problems had been . I am forever grateful to Dr.Christopherson he saved my life and ended my pain when no one else would listen because I "was to young ". He is an awesome Doc !!!

I saw Dr. Christopherson 2 years ago after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer. My GYN recommended him as I needed my nodes tested and they did not do it at HMC. Right from the start I felt like I knew him forever. His office staff was great. My follow-up was done in Erie and I had a few complications but Dr. Christopherson was available and offered great advice over the phone that saved me another surgery. Thank you!

I was referred to Dr. Christopherson when I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer. I was very relieved when I first met him and how he put you at ease. He is very positive and none of that gloom and doom attitude. His staff is also wonderful to you. I thank the Lord that I was sent to Dr. Christopherson. It has been one year since my total hysterectomy and my tests are all come out good since. If you are in the Pittsburgh area and diagnosed with uterine, ovarian, cervical cancer etc. I highly recommend this wonderful Gyn/Oncolgist.

Dr. Christopherson gave me hope when my own gynocologist told me I had ovarian cancer...he right away told me that he didn't think I had cancer and sure enough I didn't. He did inform me that he wouldn't be sure until after surgery, so he prepped me for what might come, but he also explained very thoroughly exactly why I didn't present as someone with ovarian cancer. I was staged for cancer and he removed everything, uterus, ovaries, tubes, cervix and even my appendix. I was fortunate to have low malignant potential tumors that required no further treatment. He had such a calming, reassuring manner...I just loved him. I haven't seen him since my follow-up appointment (haven't needed to), but he'll forever have my respect and admiration and of course, many, many thanks.

In 2006 after being diagnosed with Uterine Cancer, I was referred to Dr. Christopherson's office. From the very first day when I nerviously stepped foot in his office to discuss my options, I felt like I was in the right place. Dr. Chistopherson's expertise in this field will make you feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation. He will put you at ease with the confidence that he has in his profession. We, in Pittsburgh are blessed to have a doctor of his caliber in our city.

The BEST there is. Top of his field, at a #1 hospital, with outstanding staff. The care you will recieve is above and beyond the best around. I drove 3 hours for the care they give. Worth every minute. Gladly recieved a total hyster. after being educated by the dr and his staff. 28 years old and never regretted it! Really cares for you as a person and is one of the best dr's around.....try him.

Dr. Christopherson was recommended to me as a gynecologic oncologist when I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. He found ovarian cancer during the surgery, and I am happy to report that I have a very good prognosis despite my "two-fer one" cancer surgery.

The doctor and his staff are all warm and caring, and I felt they gave me the best possible treatment in their hands. We do not have a local gynecologic onocologist, so it was wonderful to feel comfortable in a place away from home. I had chemotherapy in a facility in my locale.
