I was referred to Dr. Welgoss by my GYN, after a long history of urinary frequency and urgency. I have been a patient of this doctor for almost 10 years now. He is kind and compassionate, highly skilled, well-credentialed, and open to "thinking outside the box". His office staff is efficient and professional.
Dr. Welgoss is in practice with other docs who sub-specialize in GYN-Oncology and Urogynecology. I actually worked for his senior partners while going through nursing school. Their approach to patient care was very much the same with empathy and expertise.
Dr. Welgoss and his partners work very closely with a physcial therapist who specializes in pelvic floor muscle issues. She actually has an office in their suite. Her name is Clare Kalina. I started seeing her about 5 years ago and am still seeing her 2-3 times a year for tune-ups.
As a former oncology nurse, Dr. Welgoss is one of the very few docs that I would ask to "surgerize" me. It's all about skill, trust, accessibility (he responds to emails), compassion, candor, and flexibility.
