Dr. Lepi is a fabulous physician. I saw him the first time just over 11 years ago.
He delivered my first son in 1997, then, of course, I saw him for all of my annual exams after that. He did my first laproscopic surgery in 2003. In 2004, I became pregnant again, and at the same time, moved 20 more miles from his office. I continued to see him, despite the drive, through that pregnancy and a fourth in 2006. I'm now on military insurace, and have chosen the higher copay/deductible version so that I can still be treated by Dr. Lepi, as he is not on the network list. That is dedication.
In the last couple of years, he tried several medications and another procedure to treat my endometriosis, all of which led to the outcome I had been prepared for since 2003...the total hysterectomy. I was ready though. I knew that he had done all he could short of that. I didn't feel pressured into having the operation, or that we had waited too long. It was perfect timing. I have probably had as close to a text book recovery as one could expect.
I highly recommend Dr. Lepi to all women within a reasonable geographic area of his office. Not only has he been a great doctor, but the ladies who work for him are patient, respectful, and friendly. I think that is as important: the quality of the folks who answer the phone and greet you in the office. His staff has rarely changed in the 11 years, which is also a testament to what a good man he is.
I don't know what I would ever do if I had to go to another OB/GYN. They are like a little extension of my family. It may sound strange to say, but when such a great group of people share big life experiences with you, you have a connection. Three babies, three surgeries, and countless appointments later, it would be tough to choose another place.
