I suffered for years with what Dr. Mike diagnosed as PCOS. All the other doctors thought I was too young to have these troubles & I felt like they thought I was over reacting to my periods. But Dr. Mike has helped me soooo much. No more pain! I love his office too. They are all super nice. I highly recommend him to any woman suffering while other doctors don't listen. Love him!!

I have suffered for years with obesity, chronic pain, irregular periods, chronic fatigue and too many other symptoms to count. Most doctors listened for only a few seconds before you could see the diagnosis of "hypochondriac-has every symptom in the book" start to flash in their eyes. Dr Mike and his wife/NP listened carefully and teased apart my multiple symptoms to diagnose Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Dr. Mike did laproscopic surgery to scar my ovaries, which caused them to begin to function properly as they healed, and prescribed glucophage to keep them functioning. I began to lose weight steadily and was able to concieve a daughter and carry her full term. We delivered without complications, in fact, I was in the shower three hours after she was born. Sherry prescribed a muscle relaxer for my fibromyalgia that enables me to get an average of 20 good hours in 24, and has allowed me to have a much more productive life. I also dropped another ten pounds just because I was more active. Dr Mike is a quiet and shy man, so don't expect him to talk much, but he listens very effectively. He hears every word you say and he cares deeply. He adores children, and will do whatever is in his power to help you have one. If you are in pain, he will do anything he can to get you relief. Sherry will explain what you need to know with as much detail as you need. They are a perfect complement to each other. They work well together and they have a very low complication rate, despite training for and taking on the very toughest cases.

Dr. Mike has assembled an excellent staff, some have been with him nearly twenty years. They work well together, efficiently and effectively. I have come to believe, over many years, that one good sign of a good doctor is a staff that enjoys working with him. If there is laughter in the office, the staff is content and can concentrate on the patient. If there isn't, it isn't a happy place and the staff are going to be concerned with themselves. There is a lot of laughter in Dr. Mike's office. His staff is happy. The lack of turnover is a good sign of it as well.

Finally, I have always been impressed by the family atmosphere in this practice. They recognize that pregnancy and birthing involves adding a family member and they try to involve the whole family in the process. It isn't uncommon to encounter fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers and children in the waiting room and in the exam rooms. They recognize that expectant moms can sometimes be anxious, and they are perfectly happy to bring along anyone who gives her comfort. My husband always felt welcome and he is very fond of Dr. Mike and Sherry as well. They always remember him by name and ask after him as well, even though it has been five years since they've seen him.

I had suffered with incontinence, fibroids and pelvic pressure for a long time. I remembered a coworker went to Dr. Guiler years ago and I read in the paper that he was performing a new procedure and I was interested. I had a supracervical hysterectomy, cystocele and rectocele repair and TVT of the urethra. I did not have to taken even one pain pill during my hospital stay or once at home!! My husband took me out to dinner on the day of my discharge (which was less than 24 hrs). I highly recommend Dr. Guiler, his skill, bedside manner and all office staff are to be commended for their concern and professionalism. My only regret is that I did not have this done a long time ago.

Dr.Guiler did a hysterctomy w/BSO, lysis of adhesions/endometriosis, TVT. His wife, Sherry, is a N.P. who works in the office with him. After 20 years of suffering and 12 different urologists, Sherry diagnosed me with what she thought was interstitial cystitis (my first visit) and this was later confirmed with testing. Dr. Guiler and Sherry both "listen" to my problems and I never feel rushed with my office visits as I have with other doctors. The nurses call back within a timely manner and if I have a problem, I am seen that day. As if this is not enough, they both are friendly, very attentive, and compassionate professionals.
