Two and a half years ago I was having severe chronic pelvic pain. I went to my previous gyn with three pages of notes, front and back. I was virtually ignored and put on pain pills without a thorough examinaton or a follow up apointment. I asked some friends if they knew of a really good gyn. Three of them referred me to Doctor Stewart.
I was very nervous about my first apointment with her because of how badly I was treated by my last doctor. Despite my doubts, I brought my notes anyway, not really expecting that I would need them. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated with respect, empathy, and compassion. Not only did this doctor listen to my concerns, she took copies of my notes. That first day she made a diagnosis of my condition and scheduled a procedure to fix the problem. For the first time in several years, I finally felt like I was being heard and understood. I've seen her two or three times a month ever since that first visit.
Upon receiving the results of the laproscopy, Doctor Stewart diagnosed me with severe endometriosis. Five weeks ago, she herself performed the total hysterectomy we knew was coming. From that very first day of meeting her, I've never been in a more capable, professional pair of hands. I would trust this lady with my life and would not dream of being treated by anyone else.
Because of how popular and loved she is, there have been times when I've had to reschedule my apointment because the wait was too long. She takes time with each patient and listens with an open and loving ear. This can be a problem for those with time limitations and those who don't like to be kept waiting. While it can be frustrating at times, I see it as a good thing. I'd much rather wait to be seen by her than any other doctor in her field of expertise. It is very difficult to find a reliable, dependable, and capable gyn. Doctor Stewart is beyond excellent.
