Richard Leschek, D.O. attended the Rutgers University Graduate Program in Microbiology for one year after his graduation from Rutgers College. He received his DO degree after graduating from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986. He completed a rotating medical internship at the Garden City Osteopathic Hospital in 1987. In 1988 he completed one year of an internal medicine internship followed by his neurology residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He served as chief resident and was awarded the Dunn Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching by the Medical Staff. He did a fellowship in neurophysiology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1990. He was on staff as an Instructor for one year after his training before he came to Maryland and entered into private practice. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
