Dr. Messina was a god-sent to me. I had 2 children with no complications. I then miscarried twice and suffered an ectopic pregnancy. The doctor I had at the time was of no help what so ever. She seemed to busy to deal with my problems. I found Dr. Messina through my work and from the beginning she did everything to try and determine the cause of my problems. She ran many tests and she was so compassionate and caring. My husband and I decided we would try once more and as soon as I found out that I was pregnant, I was put on hormone suppositories and I had my beautiful, healthy baby girl!
I the started having problems with my periods. They were long and very heavy. Dr. Messina did not put me off. She ran blood work and ordered an ultrasound which showed I had fibroids on my uterus. She sat down with me in her office, explained what the problem was, and we both, not just her, decided on a hysterectomy. The day of my surgery, I was a nervous wreck until Dr. Messina came into the operating room and held my hand while they put me to sleep. 5 weeks later, at the end of my post op visit, she gave me a hug which I thought was so nice!
I would highly recommend Dr. Messina. In fact, I already have to quite a few people. She treats you as a patient and as a friend. She is truly a remarkable person.
