Dr. Salerno performed my LSH hysterectomy in May 2009, and previously, my endometrial ablation/tubal ligation in November 2008. He sat with me and discussed my options, making sure I was fully aware of all side effects and as well as the steps in the procedures. When I met with him, after my ablation did not work, he was so patient and caring about my need for a hysterectomy. He understood the pain I was in, and worked to schedule my procedure for the first available date. He and his office staff were also very accessible after my initial appointment to answer each and every question and concern that popped up in my thoughts. The day of my surgery, Dr. Salerno made sure to take time to talk with me and answer any last minute questions I had. He stood next to me and really put me at ease. Then his entire team checked up on me during my overnight hospital stay. Before my discharge, he came & sat with me and reviewed my post-op care at home and let me know that if I had any problems/questions to not hesitate to call his office. I loved how Dr. Salerno put me at ease and really seemed to take the time to care about me, as his patient. He's a great doctor and I really felt like he cared.
