Dr. Tamayo has been the pediatrician for my children for a couple of years. She is so good with kids! She really cares about what she does and it shows. She is very thorough. Sometimes that has cost us extra money for testing for my son when he was exhibiting some unusual symptoms, but I would rather be safe than sorry. Her staff at Helotes Pediatrics is fairly friendly. The facility is always clean. The biggest complaint I have is that sometimes kids get sick at the most inconvenient times and they will not work with you on payments. You must pay your copay upfront if you want to see the doctor. That has put us in a bind at times when both kids have gotten sick at the same time in between payperiods.
