I suffered tremendously from fibroids. It became so painful that my doctor had me on pain pills to get me through the month. My doctor recommended my visit to Dr. Katrina Kelly for further diagnosis. Upon my first visit with the doctor I knew that she had my best interest at heart. She had me go through a lot of testing and determined that because of the size and amount of fibroids etc. that the best alternative would be a hysterectomy. During my MRI they found a mass that was of concern. Dr. Kelly had her staff scheduled my surgery. What a terrifying experience. Your mind races....do I have cancer...do I.....do I....However, Dr. Kelly, her staff, and the hospital where I had my surgery made me feel like the most important person and gave me the same kind of care! I believe this is why I am healing so quickly. It is nice to have the quality of care and a caring doctor and staff to make this journey a postive one. To give you an idea of Dr. Kelly's experience and care, she determined that due to the size and qty of the fibroids that she would need to make abdominal incisions.....as a woman she knew this was not a pleasant thought nor was I looking forward to the additional healing time required for this type of incision. Therefore, on my surgery day (my birthday) Dr. Kelly and the staff of the hospital not only sang me happy birthday as they were getting ready to wheel me in for my surgery, Dr. Kelly took the harder choice for her and gave me a wonderful birthday gift....a bikini cut. I highly recommend Dr. Kelly both as a qualified physician, surgeon, and woman to whom women's health and happiness is number one!
