She is worth the drive "over the hill"...

I was referred to Dr. Graven over 15+ years ago when I first moved to San Jose, CA by my Chiropractor Dr. Dorothy Ponton. She has communicated professionally and with a personal touch of class or humor in our visits. She has been prepared for every question I have had for her.
I would like to address the most recent visit to Dr. Nadine Graven. There are few OBGYNs in the valley that have the new surgical procedures for laprascopic hysterectomies. She is one of very few Drs. who are up to date with the new equipment and skills.
I am 51; experiencing Fibroid and Menopause symptoms for the last 6 years. Dr. Graven respected my wish to work holistically. I utilized herbs and change in diet to see if there would be a decrease in Fibroid growth and Menopausal symptoms. Oil of Evening Primrose and Black Cohosh worked wonders on day/night sweats and edginess. I was not successful at decreasing the size of several fibroids. 1 was over 10cm. Dr. Graven did a partial hysterctomy using new laprascopic techniques. I had 2 tiny scares; minimal pain; and was feeling well after 4 days. I started activity pretty quickly! It did take about a month to have sustained energy --- but that is my body's recovery pace. It may be less for others. She is now located in Campbell Ca!

Dr. Graven and her staff are top notch. I have seen Dr. Graven several times over the past 10 months. At each visit, she has answered all of my questions and concerns thoroughly with detailed explanations. She takes all the time needed to answer my questions and be sure that I understand my treatment and medications. I never feel rushed. On some occasions I have had to wait 30-45 mins. from my scheduled appt. time to see the doctor but in the bigger picture, I consider this a small trade off considering the quality of care and time she spends with her clients.

Dr. Graven has never cancelled any of my appointments at the last minute.

At a previous provider my appointments, which were difficult to get in the first place, were repeatedly cancelled and re-scheduled. Each time this meant moving my appointment out at least another 3 weeks.

The office staff and nurses are very responsive and professional and return queries and phone calls promptly. I recently had a mammogram and received my "all clear" post card from the Dr. just a few days after my xrays. This is service!

I highly recommend this doctor and am glad I found her.

I went to Dr. Graven for a second opinion. Her office staff and P.A. are wonderful!!! They are all very compassinate and friendly.

In three weeks, she got test results and performed surgery. In the 8 months that my first OB/GYN was monitorig my conditions she didn't do half as much.

I would highly recommend her and Dr. Totman who are in the same office.
