Clear , Concise, Calm, Kind, these are words I would use to describe Dr. Peter Argenta. He is my Cancer Hero ! I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Dr. Argenta was my surgeon. I cannot say enough good things about him. He has a gift that he is willing to use to help others. His expertise goes beyond studying to be an MD and practicing all those skills. He has a knowledge and empathy that goes beyond.You will be in the best of care with Dr. Argenta.

I first met Dr. Argenta when I was diagnosed with stage 3 uterine cancer. He was my surgeon and walked me through totally unfamiliar territory with proficiency, frankness, humor, and grace. He listened to my concerns then, and I trust his judgment to this day. Four years later, I am grateful that I am still cancer-free and know that I can turn to him and his staff should the need arise. He is one of a kind!

Nearly four years ago I was diagnosed with uterine cancer and was fortunate enough to have Dr. Argenta as my surgeon. There aren't words to describe the gratitude I owe this young man...he was skillful, passionate, and was like an angel guiding me along the unfamiliar path. I truly owe my life to this gentleman and I would recommend him to anyone needing expertise in this field.

His humor kept the subject of the "Big C" on a lighter note, but rest assured he was filled with knowledge and I felt so comfortable putting my life in his capable hands.

He made me feel as if I was his "only" patient and I never felt rushed or hurried, although I know he's a busy doctor with a full practice. Many other doctors seem to treat you like a number but this isn't so with Dr. Argenta. He treats you with a comforting smile, a sense of humor, and takes time to listen as well as educate you on your own personal level.

Dr. Argenta is trustworthy and deserves accolades for his skill and attitudes in treating women's diseases. Thank you!

I am not a cancer survivor as a patient, but as a healthcare professional who is frequently a witness to it. Over the years, I have developed a great respect and admiration for Dr. Argenta. He consistently displays a level of professionalism and caring that seems to have only broadened and deepened with his experiences. His skill, honesty, strength, drive, sensitivity, and good humor are well matched with the level of emotional support he provides for his patients, making consistent efforts to be present for critical moments in their journey, and making sure to keep them well informed and engaged in their treatment plan. He is both professional and personal, confident and curious, carefully meticulous and confidently bold. Though I would not want to have to be his patient, I would want no one else for the job.

Dr. Argenta is an extremely gifted surgeon in both skill and compassion. All the accolades in the previous postings are true and richly deserved. In 9/08, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer, stage IIc. Because of Dr. Argenta’s talent in surgically removing the cancer, my CA-125 level went below 100, a 97% reduction. After one chemo treatment, my CA-125 level was in the normal range, and continued downward with each subsequent treatment. The results speak for themselves in regards to his expertise in gynecologic oncology, and in essence I feel that he saved my life. His wisdom, kindness, and willingness to listen to and answer all my questions will be of tremendous benefit to help me down the pathway of cancer survivorship. Any woman who finds herself facing a similar situation should see Dr. Argenta. I am grateful beyond words that he is my doctor.

Dr. Argenta has been an integral part of our family since 09/08 when he diagnosed Helen's stage 1 ovarian cancer. Throughout he has been honest with us; he didn't necessarily tell us what we wanted to hear but what we needed to hear. His passion for treating this disease does not keep him from taking time to comfort us, encourage us, and listen to us. The more I read about him and learn from him, I would not hesitate to encourage someone facing gynecological cancers to seek his services. Sincere thanks also goes to his staff and the U of M staff who train to make those fighting cancer comfortable in their treatment and their feelings during treatment. My family and I have been extreemly pleased with Dr. Argenta. He is kind, educated in the field and offers hope yet paints a realistic picture of what you are facing. His kindness has extended to my husband, mother and father. He understands your fears, encourages your ability to laugh and walks with you through the whole experience. We were very blessed that when I was diagnosed with stage 1 ovarian cancer that we were assigned Dr. Argenta. He is one of the best things we've encountered in this walk along with his staff and the University of Minnesota's staff.

He is professional, extremely knowledgeable, kind, non-judgmental, respectful, direct, calming, and so much more. He has excellent communication skills and a sense of humor. He is also highly skilled. How fortunate I and my husband are that he was recommended to me.

Dr. Peter Argenta is one of the most highly respected gynecology oncologists in the state of Minnesota. He is meticulous, gentle, talented, compassionate, and he has a great sense of humor. I am an ovarian cancer survivor. He was called in when cancer was discovered and he debaulked me, held my hand afterwards, and explained how we were going to fight it. I am still cancer free 2 years later. Words are insufficient. If you are within driving distance and are facing a gynocological cancer. He is associated with the U of M, and with Park Nicollet.
