I've been seeing Dr. Mackey since 2004 when I was pregnant with my son. I have a little bit of white-coat paranoia, and she has been nothing but soothing and calming. She has two children of her own so I feel that she can truly identify with the pregnant woman. She listens to my concerns even on just a routine visit and I have never felt rushed or dismissed. She's non-reactionary and very open to everything I have asked her; i.e., the possibility of non-medicated birth, the option of a VBAC, how she handles induction, etc. After my son was born she even helped me with post-partum weight loss in a very calm, effective and gentle (non-judgemental) way. I've actually been around her in a social setting as well, and I was so proud to be her patient and friend. She's a super down to earth person and I just feel really lucky she's my doctor. Her office seems to run smoothly, good nurses, no billing issues. They have some extended office hours as well. I have sometimes had to wait but that's to be expected in an OB/GYN office where deliveries are occurring at all times! I've met several of her partners and think highly of them as well.
