I have seen Rhene for the past 17 years. I have had the opportunity to work with her as well as be her patient. She is the most gracious individual. She cares greatly for her patients. She delivered both my children while in Santa Rosa, now that we are both in Alaska, I continue to receive my gyn care from her. She is listens to you as a person during visits and always gives you the opportunity to talk aobut what has been going on with your health care. I would highly recommend her as physician. She always goes above and beyond for her patients.

I was a patient of Dr. Merkouris' when she was in Santa Rosa, California, and it was a huge loss to our community when she left for Alaska. She is not only a wonderful, knowledgable doctor, but a fantastic person in general.

Dr. Merkouris is completely awesome. I'm surprised at the comment that someone has had a problem with her billing - I've never had a problem and I've been seeing her for around 9 years. She's very warm, caring and really takes the time to talk to you when you see her. I credit her with saving my daughter's life when she was born. I just can't say enough good things about her - she's the best doctor I've ever been to. I highly recommend her.

I was a patient of Dr. Merkouris and as a physician she is very good, as a person and business owner, in my experience, she was horrible. I had a major problem with her billing company and staff; when I tried to contact her she reacted like a child by avoiding me, sent my account to collections and refused to talk to me. I paid the balance in full, including overcharges, just to be rid of her. Her behavior stains her talents as an OB. Nonetheless, she provided myself and my daughter a great service by performing a surgery other OBs refused to do, which I believe may have saved my daughter from being born very early. I too was suprised that I had to have a c-section (I've since learned that the "risks" requiring the c-section MAY have been exagerated). Still, I am sad to no longer be on good terms with Dr. Merkouris but I know I did everything I could to reach her. I would recommend her if you are able to pay cash in full and avoid dealing with her billers and front desk staff.

Dr. Merkouris looked after me during my pregnancy. Her and her staff are absolutely wonderful. They answer any questions I have and make me feel comfortable. Dr. Merkouris did an excellent job with my (unexpected) c-section and did everything to ensure the health and safety of me and my daughter. I definitely recommend her!

Dr. Rhene is great! She has an awsome sense of humor and really listens to you. She is by far the best Dr. I ever had. She will not just do a procedure for the sake of doing it. She really tries her best to give you the best.
