Dr. Casteneda is my hero! After losing 7 mo. twin daughters in September 1989 while under the "care" of a well known West Palm OB/GYN group, I elected to change doctors (imagine that). Dr. Casteneda had an office close to our house in Lake Worth and upon finding I was pregnant in April of 1991, I decided to go with an individual. I feel God led me to this conscientious, dedicated doctor who is responsible for my beautiful 16 year old daughter. After getting my history and that of my mother, he suggested a cervical cerclage which he performed at 16 weeks. He removed it at 32 weeks and I dialated 1 cm. I went in for my weekly check up the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I had a strange pain unlike pain I had experienced in labor or at any other time. He ran tests to check for gallstones or kidney stones, but when they came back negative, he suggested inducing labor - I was at 38 weeks. He induced labor on 11/27 @ 7:15 PM, and I delivered on 11/28 @ 7:14 PM on Thanksgiving Day. I am not sure he even got to spend Thanksgiving with his family. I never saw another doctor for any prenatal checkup or while in the hospital because this wonderful, beautiful man was dedicated to getting my baby here safe and healthy. Thanks to his dedication, commitment, and work ethic, we are blessed with our beautiful daughter. Thank you seems so insufficient. He is an Angel on earth in my book! I highly recommend him without hesitation and thank God for him every day.

Dr. Castaneda is a wonderful doctor. He has been my doctor for the past 6 years. He was the only one that found out I had endometriosis and started treating me immediately after the finding. All the other doctors I had gone to prior to him all kept saying that either I had a very bad infection or cervical cancer (abnormal pap-smears). After suffering a twisted cyst on my left ovary (which Dr. Castaneda removed) he made the discovery that I was suffering with endometriosis for many years. He treated me to the best of his ability...active birth control pills, but after I turned 35 he found it better for me (as I smoke) that I have a abdominal hysterectomy. He spent a lot of time with me explaining the down side (as well as the positive) of having a hysterectomy so that I can make a decision about the surgery. With this information I found it (in my best interest and health) to go forward with the procedure. After I had the procedure Dr. Castaneda was at my disposal for any questions I had, the best was when I called his (cell) phone crying about the pain and he sat there and consoled me until I calmed down and explained to me that in 5 days the pain would go away....he was right!!!! I would recommend Dr. Castaneda to everyone who lives in Florida.
