Dr. Gretkowski performed a hysterectomy on me July 2007. Surgery went textbook, but I did start hemoraging in post op. Dr. Gretkowski saved my life. She was supposed to go on holiday, had her cat all packed up in the car, but canceled everything not only to patch me up, but to be there for my aftercare for the next couple of weeks (and she was supposed to be traveling to see her Mum --- sorry Mrs. Gretkowski). She cares deeply about her patients. One of the attending nurses said that she was in tears after she closed me up the second time. She was there with me in the hospital for the week, checking on me daily. She kept my family and I updated constantly and was very focused on my full recovery.

Okay, so my body didn't like being messed with, but I couldn't have been in greater hands. She's very easy to talk with, explains the procedures and is real about the discomfort level you will feel.

Saving my life aside, I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr Gretkowski provided my prenatal care and delivered both of my children. She took ample time with me in prenatal appointments and answered all my questions. I found Dr Gretkowski to be a very proactive doctor. After a difficult first delivery, she suggested ways to ease my second birth. We decided on an early induction (at 39 weeks) in hopes of having a smaller baby. My second birth was wonderful and much easier, but I still had excessive bleeding. Dr Gretkowski recommended some bloodwork at my follow-up appointment to rule out any undiagnosed blood conditions. I feel I received very thorough and compassionate care and would recommend her without any hesitation.

She is the most caring doctor I have ever had. She treated me for several years with endometriosis and later a hysterectomy. She explains proceedures before she does them. She saved my life.
