During November of 2006 I was referred to Dr. Potkul. He is an OB/GYN who specializes in gynecology/oncology. When I did research on him I found out that he is one of the top 32 doctors at Loyola Medical Center. In January of 2007 I had a complete hysterectomy. I was a little leery because I am over weight and I read about all kinds of horror stories about staples/stitches coming out. Women having trouble with their bladder or bowels. Everything is functioning exactly like it was before the surgery. Since I am heavy the process is long. I am healing from the inside out. My inside in completely healed. My external scar soon will be.

Dr. Potkul is an OB/GYN who specializes in gynecologic oncology. I was referred to him after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer. I found his professional yet compassionate demeanor to be very comforting during the scary days of my illness. Throughout my treatment and subsequent surgery, he has been reassuring and attentive. He does not talk "over my head" -- he explains things in ways I can understand and takes the time to listen to my questions and concerns. I feel blessed to be treated by such a kind and caring doctor.
