Since I became her patient in 2004, Dr. Booth (Women First of Louisville) has been diligent about finding solultions for my pain and discomfort. My previous gynecologist dismissed my symptoms and sent me on my way. Dr. Booth began by performing a laparoscopy to look for sources of my pain (August, 2004). She found endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Dr. Booth cleaned them up and I was pain free for a while. Over the years, Dr. Booth attended to various bleeding problems and pain, suggesting many alternatives. She never pressured me into any decision, but was supportive of whatever I was ready to try at the time. I had uterine ablation and tubal ligation in February, 2006 (I was not ready for a hysterectomy...I was 38 at that time).
After the pain worsened, we continued discussing hysterectomy, and I was ready. June 16, 2009, Dr. Booth performed a Laproscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy. We agreed to save my ovaries, if possible. Dr. Booth's experience and expertise with this procedure were apparent. My left ovary was stuck to my uterus and my right ovary had a large endometrioma (and LOTS of endometriosis), and yet Dr. Booth saved both of my ovaries.
Dr. Booth always listens to me and answers my questions, taking my concerns seriously. She is pleasant and works hard to relieve my pain and discomfort, making my health and quality of life a priority. I recommend Dr. Booth to any woman needing a competent, talented, and pleasant doctor to work with.
