Dr. Contreras is a GYN/Oncologist and was recommended to me by my GYN for uterine cancer surgery. She made me feel very comfortable when we first met and explained the details of the surgery in a way that I could understand. You can ask her any questions and she will answer them without hesitation. Her personality is warm, friendly, professional and has a good sense of humor. Dr. Contreras is a skilled surgeon who is very thorough. When we spoke right before my surgery, she told me that she would be doing a LAVH/BSO. To make sure that no organs were punctured after the procedure, a dye would be injected to make sure that this did not happen. Her surgical nurse and resident doctor were wonderful and came to see me in my room the next day. I had 3 post-op visits with her. Again, I felt very relaxed and reassured that she was helping me with my recovery. When you are dealing with cancer, you need a doctor who is compassionate, caring and skilled. Dr. Contreras has these qualities and so much more. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is facing gynecologic
cancer.
