I had my first appointment with Dr. Cynthia Bergman at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia this morning (11/12/09). Dr Bergman and her staff were very friendly and calming to my husband and I who both came with frazzled nerves and alot of anxiety. I left my appt with Dr Bergman feeling much more comfortable with my diagnosis, her recommendation for treatment, and confidence in her ability to remove my cancer. Dr Bergman has not only been at Fox Chase since 1997, but she also went through breast cancer with her mother, according to her profile on the Fox Chase website. This gives her the advantage of being on both sides of the fence and enables her to give support to both the patient and their family as she has been on both sides. I would highly recommennd Dr Bergman to any woman who is in need of a gyn-oncologist.
