Dr. Benedetti is a caring surgeon whose professionalism transcends the surgery room. He and his staff have reaffirmed my faith in plastic surgeons. Dr. Benedetti turned an awful situation into a work of art and for that, I am forever grateful.

In July 2008, I consulted numerous surgeons regarding a mastopexy. I had lost a considerable amount of weight and even at 28, my breasts didn’t bounce back as I hoped they would. Dr. Benedetti’s practice was not in the area yet, so I was unable to consult with him at the time. In August 2008, I chose to go with one of the most popular surgeons in the area. Prior to surgery, I asked that my breasts be a size “C”, but to my surprise, woke up with a size “DD”. The surgeon refused to fix the error unless I paid for an additional surgery. I was left with large breasts that worsened my posture and caused increased back pain.

In June 2009, my husband and I decided to begin researching corrective surgeries. We consulted a number of doctors in the Tampa Bay area and were thrilled to find Dr. Benedetti. From the first visit we were sold. Most surgeons have you come in for consultation, make you sit in the room, look you over quickly, ask you what you want to achieve and then say ok and shove you off to their finance manager for pricing. Dr. Benedetti took TIME to speak to us, review my medical records and went over possible corrective treatments. He not only showed compassion for my situation, but also exuded confidence that he could improve my circumstance. I was simply impressed by his extreme professionalism and demeanor. I never once felt like I was keeping him from something else – I always felt like I was his one and only patient (which definitely wasn’t the case). He never gave me false hope – he gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision on the surgery. In July 2009 I underwent the corrective surgery with Dr. Benedetti. He removed the large implants and completed scar revision on my previous scars. I am now 6 months out from corrective surgery and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Benedetti truly encompasses all the qualities that one should look for in a plastic surgeon – kindness, compassion, altruism, knowledge, professionalism and pure skill. I have since moved out of the state, but can honestly say that if I ever needed any other form of surgery, I will forego convenience and make the trip to Dr. Benedetti to ensure it is done correctly the first time!

I almost forgot to mention Lara. Lara, his practice manager, is phenomenal. Being in the medical field, I deal with office staff frequently. Lara is by far the most professional and sincere practice manager I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her knowledge and expertise is unsurpassed!
