Dr. McBroom has now moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and is affiliated with Piedmont Hospital. He specializes in ovarian cancer. My daughter was diagnosed with Stage II ovarian cancer in February of 2008. Dr. McBroom was her surgeon and he removed tumors on both ovaries and her colon all in one piece which I think was important to prevent the spread of the cancer. She also received six months of chemotherapy in his office delivered by his very competent nurse Gretchen. Six months later she had an intestinal blockage which Dr. McBroom repaired and which has not occurred again. After he moved to Atlanta, she continued to see him every six months for several years and then once a year up until several weeks ago. There is now a new ovarian oncologist in Tallahassee, FL, so he feels confident to refer her there for future visits. I consider that Dr. McBroom saved her life. He is not only totally competent but has the best bedside manner ever. If you know anyone who has ovarian cancer, you would be wise to send them to Dr. McBroom no matter how far they had to travel.
