I have been Dr. Medina's patient for 8 yrs. I first saw him through my regular GYN sugguestion, I had a prolasped bladder and Dr. Medina specializes in urology type issues. With his 21 years of experence in this field, he performed some urodynomic tests, found I also had incontince. He sat down with my husband and I and explain the pros and cons of having the surgery, what to expect, how long recovery typically was.On surgery day he performed a pelvic floor reconstruction with a sling attactment.
He is a kind-hearted, concerned about the individual, takes his time to listen to your issues and if you have any questions he will answer them not just blow you off.....like many of the doctors do now days . Dr. Medina has a wonderful bedside manner, I have continued to see him, for all my GYN needs. I would recommed him to ANYBODY that is in need of a urogyn in a heartbeat. In my book he is the best doctor I know, He should be recommended for best doctor of the year!

For over twenty years I have suffered from stress incontinence. Since the birth of my second child. I did research and saw several doctors before I settled for Dr. Carlos Medina. Am I glad I chose him. First, he is extremly friendly and his bedside manner is unbelievable. Few doctors now take the time to sit with you and explain all your options from A to Z. Until you understand the procedure best for you he will continue to explain. The surgery I had was a Bladder Sling. Everything went exactly as he explained on day one. Actually better than I was ready for since I never had to take a pain killer that he prescribed for me. I was ready to work within a week and even exercise. I continued to walk daily until I could do cardio and weights. The best of all is that now I can sneeze, cough, laugh profusely, bowl, play baseball with my kids and my bladder is perfect. Actually for the first time in many years I can actually live a normal life. My only regret is that I listened to family members and friends and did not do this simple procedure years ago. Dr Medina is with the University of Miami. Would reccommend him 100%. Go for it! Live life dont let it live you. Good Luck!
